[pkg-wine-party] Bug#793551: wine-development and khronos-api uploads to jessie-backports

Hi all,

FYI (no RFS, but feedback is welcome): I've uploaded jessie-backports of
wine-development and khronos-api to mentors.debian.net. I will further
test them the next days, but given debdiff *.dsc looks good and I used
cowbuilder et.al I strongly assume that they are fine. I will follow up
when I've done the testing, or if you have any remarks.

The backports were proposed in https://bugs.debian.org/793551 (by upstream).
The wine maintainers Michael Gilbert and Stephen Kitt agree with me
doing the backports, see bug log. Stephen kindly proposed to be my
sponsor, thanks again.


About wine-development:
wine-development is Wine (the Windows API implementation) packaged from
the development branch at winehq.org. Releases happen every 2 weeks (and
of course I am going to push them to backports as soon as they reach
Stretch for the next 2 years). Wine is developed rapidly and it is often
necessary to have a very recent version of Wine for a Windows app to
run. There is nearly no upstream support for older versions. Therefore I
think a backport really makes sense.
Current version in Jessie is 1.7.29-4. I've uploaded 1.7.49-1~bpo8+1
(which just entered Jessie while I was uploading 1.7.48).


About khronos-api:
khronos-api contains the Khronos XML API Registry, which is a
build-dependency of current wine-development, but is not available in
Jessie. I've uploaded 0~svn29577-2~bpo8+1.


My backport packaging:
Backporting itself has been trivial thus far. I only updated the
changelog and added myself as uploader (for the latter I am not totally
sure if this was correct - I just became Junior Developer in
pkg-wine at alioth to have commit access to the git repo, but I don't have
upload rights).

The packaging of wine-development for jessie-backports is in the
jessie-backports-1.7.x branch at git://git.debian.org/git/pkg-wine/wine.git.
