And what happens if you try it directly from the CD, e.g. if it was
mounted to /mount/user/risen/:
  cd /mount/user/risen/
  wine setup.exe

At least in the past this was recommended. I don't know if Austin
suggested "D:\\setup.exe", or if he saw that as possible error reason.
