Yeah, I know. He switched to cmake which made quite some headaches
with regards to packaging. This is also the main reason why I haven't
uploaded it back in June when I imported that version into the git
repository:

I'll soon upload 2.2.2 to Debian Experimental. Some things seem still
not working properly, mostly the test suite fails to work (i.e. not
the test fail but running the tests fails already).
