Hmm, I had a brief chat to ndiswrapper's developer about it using wext 
ioctl's, and also personally patched madwifi-ng to use wext. I think the 
driver autodetection for these modules should be dropped ASAP, and I 
please ask that these source packages do not get uploaded until I make 
the required changes changes (I will do so immediately, and re announce).
