Everything can be fixed. Lets report this to Jouni Malinen, and allow him the
opportunity to correct the behaviour. I am no C++ programmer, so I would have
quite some difficulty doing it myself. Any help appreciated.

Excellent!
It does however have a bad side, I have found:
I find it uncovers flaws in the wifi driver quite well. For example, ipw2200
does not like many of my WPA networks (but works excellently for a friend)
and madwifi seems to have issues with some WEP networks. The roaming daemon
is sensitive to these kind of issues (as it should be), and they can cause
frustration due to instable connectivity.
So, I have recently attempted to add some resilience to the daemon. It has
worked to some extent. I am sure any other roaming daemon will also face
these problems until the quality of wifi on linux improves a bit.
Thanks, Kel.
