I have found a only a few moments to work on the pre-up script this
week, and also stumbled upon some problems too that i must think about.
The pre-up script will basically work when a wpa_supplicant.conf file is
supplied by the user. However, we both would like to see the possibility
to start wpa_supplicant without a user supplied conffile (kind of like
wep via wireless-tools), and indeed this is possible. The probem is: i
have been unable to set a ssid via wpa_cli (0.5.1) from the shell, only
when using the wpa_cli console itself. This is the showstopper for me
right now. Will look really hard at this on the weekend (starting
tomorrow night), okay?

I'd like to see 0.4.8 uploaded pretty soon, its been out for a while and
fixes a few problems.
Thanks, Kel.
