believe).

Thanks to the people from this list who eMailed me explaining that the 'new'
way of doing things with wpa_supplicant means that my /etc/init.d/.. script
has gone. I should explain that prior to the upgrade I was using ifplugd to
handle my roaming so I have WPA when I'm at home with my laptop, which
detects and happily sets up a WEP network at my place of work, and if all
else failed would setup a connection to any available OPEN network.

So in effect, this 'upgrade' has BROKEN my system. Yeah, I can fix it, but
why should I have to. The 'new' way is awful for roaming anyhow - from what
I can see.

I feel the maintainers should carefully consider their actions when what
will happen is they will BREAK WORKING SETUPS. This is *a bad thing*. Do the
maintainers realise that when etch becomes stable at some point in the
future - MANY machines will break.

You should not have done this! Change it back _before_ this change gets
merged in to stable and you break lots of peoples' computers!

Why when this worked so well as it was did you change it?

Just my £0.02 worth, sorry to be a bother, ignore me if you want to.

Kevin
