[pkg-wpa-devel] Bug#386092: wpasupplicant: does not properly clean up interface on shutdown

Package: wpasupplicant
Version: 0.5.4-5
Severity: normal

When I am trying to use a public hotspot, I need to associate to an
unencrypted network. This does not seem to work after wpasupplicant
was once started (as it happens automatically on my system). After
calling wpa_action eth1 stop, and setting iwconfig eth1 essid any, I
need to completely unload the ipw2200 module and reload it for
association to happen.

For me, this looks like wpasupplicant setting some functions in the
interface and not removing these settings when it shuts down.

Greetings
Marc
