By chance I found out that blacklisting the ipw2200 module and
modprobing by hand will solve the problem and two others which I thought
were not related:
- my laptop would take very long to associate to my AP
- /var wouldn't umount (device busy)
I'm almost sure this is insserv related so I'm Cc'ing
insserv at packages.debian.org
