[pkg-wpa-devel] Intend to step back as active maintainer of wpasupplicant

Hi,
In coming months my life circumstances will (most likely) change in such a way
that I will no longer be able to actively maintain wpasupplicant or hostapd
for that matter. This could be true for a period of 1 or 2 years, during which
I will be travelling and may not have time, access or money required to carry
out duties of a package maintainer.
I do intend to chip in when/if/as I can, and will most likely be using the
software fairly heavily, and do not intend to disappear forever ;-)
At this point, I'd like to highlight some points of discussion:
* The wpasupplicant BTS page could use some love; personally I think I've
let I get a bit ugly over the months. Some bugs need following up, forwarding
or tagging.
* A patch to help build on GNU/kfreebsd[0] was recently committed[1] but the
diff to upstream has been commented out of patch series due to upstream NAK[2],
pending further discussion/change.

* Some guys are working on hacking wpasupplicant into the debian-installer[3].
This means that a udeb is on the cards for the future. Combine this with the
changes required to accomidate a kfreebsd specific build time configuration,
and we will have to address the packaging issue of managing different build
configurations for different build targets.
