Please take a look at the VCS (which is denoted in debian/control) as parts
of your comments have already been addressed recently:

Vcs-Svn: svn://svn.debian.org/pkg-wpa/iw/trunk

I applied other changes which were not already done, thanks. Please check
about DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=noopt, I think upstream Makefile changed since 0.9.6
and is more permissive.
