Hey Kel,

I sent an e-mail to debian-devel a few days ago asking for advice on
getting some packages into Debian [1]. They recommended I contact the
wpasupplicant maintainer which I believe is you. I'd like to help get
two packages into debian, crda and wireless-regd. I've made some
initial example debian/ package dir stuff for both crda and
wireless-regdb using cdbs. I'd like to help push this into debian
unstable but since I do not run debian and instead ubuntu don't think
I should be the maintainer of the debian packages, unless of course
that is OK and I can package stuff using a deboostrap. Anyway I just
think it'd be easier if someone else did it, I do I think I have
something worked out for them already which I think should help.

crda and wireless-regdb can be used starting on 2.6.27 for users of
compat-wireless, additionally the stock 2.6.28 kernel is the first
kernel actually making use of it.

I have the debian example stuff in the crda git and I sent patches for
the same to John for wireless-regdb.
