Could you please confirm if this bug is still present in kernel 3.0 
(unstable/ testing) or at least 2.6.39-3~bpo60+1 (backports/squeeze)
and using b43 (flagged as "partially in 2.6.39+"[1]) instead of 
ndiswrapper?

Personally I think this is rather a bug in ndiswrapper, or the wrapped 
NDIS5 driver respectively, than wpasuppliant.

Post scriptum: b43 for SSB based 802.11n devices is still under heavy 
               development, so the newer your kernel the better; but I 
               have feedback that BCM4321 works in kernel >=2.6.39.
