Can you still reproduce this using kernel 3.2 and wpa 1.0 from unstable
or testing? Both wpa and ath9k driver have seen much development since
this was reported and chances are pretty good that it got fixed
meanwhile.
Please ensure not to use driver=wext for testing, the strongly
preferred default for mac80211 is driver=nl80211, which gets used if
you don't override this setting.
