There is not technical reason not to use it with 1.0, but there  
definately won't be a  1.0-? upload anymore - and given that 1.1 is 
rather stale/ not actually fixing anything important relative to 1.0 
(this would be different if we had enabled WiFi direct support, but 
it's disabled in 1.0-3), it's very, very unlikely that 1.1 will be
uploaded to Debian either. While the 2.0 upstream release is broken, 
we hope to upload 2.1 soon(ish) - or a snapshot from the 2.x branch, 
if unavoidable.
