[pkg-wpa-devel] Bug#882716: 2.6-7 does not fallback the default interface config, only id_str plus explicit interface config works

Hi again Andrew,

Seems the patched version is fine too.

I installed the patched version over the existing 2:2.6-5 version (without removing/purging the existing version), using dpkg as follows:

root at hpsiddie:/home/manul# wget https://people.debian.org/~andrewsh/UNRELEASED/wpasupplicant_2.6-7+no+matching_amd64.deb
root at hpsiddie:/home/manul# dpkg -i wpasupplicant_2.6-7+no+matching_amd64.deb 

Hopefully I did it properly (upon installing it mentioned installing functions.sh script).

So currently:

The new patched version 2:2.6-7+no+matching works properly for me (fallback to "iface default inet dhcp" as it should).
