Driver did not support SIOCSIWENCODEEXT

If I try to use the nl80211 i obtain:
nl80211: Driver does not support authentication/association or connect commands
Googling I read that the nl80211 driver is for newer card.

The connection works well for some seconds then I have a disconnect, a reconnect, ecc.

There is a way to have a stable connection with the 2200BG?

Thanks in advance.
