Hiya,

I just thought I should say hello to you guys given you are part of
Ubuntu's MOTUxfce [0]

I think it'd be a good idea if we all worked together and felt we could
talk to each other about the particular issues/bugs we've faced in
packaging Xfce so I thought I'd just use this mail as a hello.

I'm fully intending to steal the work that ubuntu has for the alsa vs
OSS xfce4-mixer[1] thing for instance ;)

If there any changes you think we should have so that when you get bugs
like https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=11986 and the magical
mergey thing like
http://people.ubuntu.com/~scott/ongoing-merge/xfce4-session/ it's easier
for all of us and we're more in sync then let us know.

Feel free to join the pkg-xfce-devel list on alioth to monitor/take part
in the Debian packaging - we can add interested people to the alioth
project easily enough for instance.

Simon.

[0] As far as I can tell, the guys responsible for the xfce packages in
    Ubuntu.
[1] most of it is in
http://people.ubuntu.com/~scott/patches/xfce4-mixer/xfce4-mixer_1:4.2.1-2ubuntu1_packaging.patch
