It does build-depends on libxfcegui, so it ground its Xfce
orientation. See also NEWS file.

How about:
a) a simple Xfce oriented text editor
b) a simple GTK-based text editor

We should consider also that upstreams mentions specifically Xfce in
its source. So I'm likely to stick on option a, since its not
exclusive and respects upstream' description.
