And although not at startup, I get this warning many times:

** (xfce4-terminal:385): WARNING **: No handler for control sequence `device-con trol-string' defined.

and this message about an eighth as often:

selected locale: en-US
DOUBLE-CLICK: 300 --> -1 THRESHOLD: 8 --> -1
