Hi,
this came up just recently (not sure wether today or yesterday) I think.
xfce4-terminal produces cpu-peaks here about every 3-5 seconds. This is
really annoying because this peak also incorporates a "hang" for the
whole computer, i.e. mouse stops, keyboard input is not shown and so on.
This happens only within a KDE session, I think (at least I didn't
notice it in the last XFCE4 Session) and also only happens when the
terminal has the focus.
Furthermor it's related to the size of the Terminal, i.e. a really small
terminal (1 text line high) doesn't show a peak in gkrellm, but a larger
one shows a significant peak.
I couldn't identify the process causing so much cpu-usage using top, so
if you need more information please give me a hint on how to obtain
them.
Andreas

Turns out this happens only when I activate the "kasbar" control panel
and it happens with other apps too (i.e. gaim, xine, gxine and
self-built kdevelop)
Thus I close this bug again and I'm sorry for wasting your time (to read
this).
