I found the problem, at least - my .gtkrc-2.0 was causing it. I moved
it out of the way, and the segfaults went away. This is after a
migration of /home to a new disk, so it's entriely possible something
got foobar along the way, but as no other application is giving me
problems, I am slightly doubtful of that as the solution.
At any rate, I am happy now, although a little curious as to why a bad
theme should cause a segfault.
If you need strace's or ltrace's, let me know. I can't get gdb to give
me anything useful.
