If you don't run xfwm4 but another window manager, does the problem
occurs ?

Hmh I have a radeon 9600 here, with the following config:

Section "Device"
Identifier	"ATI Technologies, Inc. RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10]"
	Driver "radeon"
	BusID "PCI:0:16:0"
	Option "AGPMode" "4"
	Option "CRT2Position" "RightOf"
	Option "MergedNonRectangular" "true"
	Option "MetaModes" "1280x854-1600x1200 1280x854"
	Option "AGPFastWrite" "on"
	Option "EnablePageFlip" "on"
	Option "MergedFB" "on"
	Option "EnableDepthMoves" "Yes"
	Option "RenderAccel" "Yes"
	Option "backingstore" "Yes"
	Option "AccelMethod" "exa"
EndSection

If you try to disable some options in the "device" section, does it
work better ? (I didn't know that having DRI there could work, but...),
for example "XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps" ?

Regards,
