Without being completely uptodate on the issue, I understand this is
about a feature request. Now while I understand your desire to have a
single point for reporting all your debian-related issues, I hope you
will agree that it's usually not the package maintainer's job to add
new (major) features to software. Thus, even if the packager could
forward your request upstream, I would strongly suggest taking the
direct approach and reporting the request on the Xfce goodies bug
tracker or directly to the upstream developer. This will save you the
trouble of dealing with package maintainers who don't share your opinion
while allowing us to focus on what we're best at - packaging software.
Plus you will gain the advantage of dealing directly with the person
responsible for the software, somebody who knows how much works is going
to be required to implement your idea and whether it corresponds to the
Xfce philosophy instead of being stuck in ideological discussions we're
not neccessarily qualified for in the first place.
On a sort-of-related note, my experience tells me that feature requests
submitted via the debian bugtracker have a tendency to grow quite old ;)
In case my statements completely miss the point, please just ignore
them.
