Well, it simply doesn't show up in the "Add items to the panel" list,
nor in the "XfApplet" list.
Moreover, if I start "nm-applet" from a console, I can see my tray
icons move a bit, like if something took place, but no icon appears.
Just blank. If I kill nm-applet (the one started from shell), I can see
the icons move back. It seems like the tray icon can't be loaded.
Obviously, on the console some messages appear:
(nm-applet:7301): Gtk-WARNING **: Icon cache
'/usr/share/pixmaps/hicolor/icon-theme.cache' is invalid
(repeated n times)
** (nm-applet:7301): WARNING **: <WARNING> nma_dbus_init ():
nma_dbus_init() could not acquire its service.
dbus_bus_acquire_service() says: 'Connection ":1.32" is not allowed to
own the service "org.freedesktop.NetworkManagerInfo" due to security
policies in the configuration file
(repeated n times as well)
The main problem, however, remains: how to add it? It should appear in
one of the lists I mentioned above.
