Sorry for the previous reply, I mixed it with another
problem. Regarding the specific issue of xfdesktop and locales, it is
solved on all boxes (etch, lenny, unstable). I even tested a bit
further, creating two filenames, one in ISO-8859-1, one in UTF-8. Both
are displayed correctly with accents.
