You can chose the output driver in Preferences/Devices. Xfmedia doesnt
manage the output stuff by itself, it relies on xine for that. So if
xine supports pulseaudio, it will too. On my installation I can chose a
pulseaudio backend, so you may want to try it (or another one).
Can you try with xine too, and see if it happens there too?
