That's weird. Well, it's a good news, but I'm a bit puzzled. As I said,
xfce4-session 4.6 doesn't even use that config file.

No, we don't touch user files in maintainer scripts, that's just too
dangerous. Upstream software might do it (xfconf-migration.pl does it,
and xfce4-panel too), but when you first run the soft.

It might be worth re-putting the config file back and see if it breaks
again. Because I honestly don't know what happens here.
