$ xfconf-query -c displays -p /Default/Screen_0/Rotation -s 90
$ xfconf-query -c displays -p /Default/Screen_0/Rotation 
90

$ xfconf-query -c displays -p /Default/Screen_0/Rotation -s 0
$ xfconf-query -c displays -p /Default/Screen_0/Rotation 
0

setting to "inverted" via pref. dialog:
$ xfconf-query -c displays -p /Default/Screen_0/Rotation 
180


the config seems to be applied correctly, however it has no effect.
randr1.2 is enabled and works with other tools like grandr and arandr.
