That's the point, isn't it? I don't get it, what exactly misbehaves? You
ask xfce4-settings to have some keyboard shortcuts, and then you'd like
them not to work?

I'm not exactly sure what you want, but you have few choices. Either you
don't configure shortcuts in openbox, either you don't configure
shortcuts in xfce4-settings. Or you don't run xfce4-settings at all.

I'm puzzled.
