I still disagree, the whole point of the advanced options is to be able
to customize the behavior. Fwiw, it depends on version of Terminal, vte,
screen, shell, shell options etc. So yes, autodetect can't work in all
cases. It works pretty fine though (and better in sid, afaics).

In any case, it's would be a vte issue.
