Which has nothing to do with that, anyway. If you click on the “logout”
button, are suspend/hibernate greyed too? What about shutdown/restart?

No, xfpm 0.8.5 only uses hal and not upower and consolekit/policykit,
iirc. Can you check everything is setup correctly as told
in /usr/share/doc/xfce4-session/README.Debian?

Is is consistent accross various sessions? Reboots?
