I received this mail but I think most of the thanks really go to
Yves-Alexis, Lionel Le Folgoc, Evgeni Golov, Stefan Ott, and Jan Wagner.

Thanks for all your work so I don't have to do anything for Xfce any more ;)

Hello, Simon, Yves-Alexis and Emanuele,

I hope you won't mind receiving some fan mail. I would like to take a few minutes to say "Thank you!" for the Xfce version of Debian Squeeze. I installed it approx. 3 months ago (when it was still the "testing" release) and have encountered zero problems. Squeeze has been a pleasure to use.

I'm not new to Linux, but am new to Debian. Some of the other distros I have used -- such as Ubuntu, Mint and PCLinuxOS -- hold one's hand a bit more than Debian does. I decided that Debian could be a way for me to learn more about Linux. Although my previous experience with desktop environments was split almost equally between GNOME and KDE, I discovered Xfce about a year ago and fell in love with it. Xfce is fast, functional and stays in the background enough to allow me to focus on my work. I'm looking forward to trying the new 4.8 release at some point.

Please feel free to pass this on to other members of the Debian Xfce Team, if you would like to do so. (I don't really want to sign up for the pkg-xfce-devel mailing list. I took a quick look at the archives, and the discussion was primarily technical). For me, the community aspect of Linux is important, and when possible, I like to let the developers know that their dedication and generosity makes my computing life easier.

Thank you very much / Merci beaucoup / Mille grazie for your hard work; I truly appreciate it. With best wishes,
