[Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#646773: xfce4-volumed: Xfce volume daemon stops working when NumLock is on

Package: xfce4-volumed
Version: 0.1.8-1
Severity: important
Tags: squeeze

Steps to reproduce:

1) Start a new Xfce session.
2) Assuming that NumLock is off, if you change the volume by using the
multimedia keys on your keyboard, it works.
3) Now turn NumLock on and try again. It doesn't work.
4) If you turn NumLock off, volume control through multimedia keys starts
working again.

I've verified this behavior on two systems running Squeeze 6.0.3. One of them
is a Dell Vostro 3400, and the other one is a no brand desktop system with an
AMD Athlon processor.

I think that this issue matches the definition of the "important" severity
level:

"A bug which has a major effect on the usability of a package" (it affects
anyone using the numeric keypad), "without rendering it completely unusable to
everyone" (it probably doesn't affect those who don't have a numeric keypad, or
those who never turn NumLock on).
