[Pkg-xfce-devel] Change user rights in standard account

Hello, am a novice to this operating system, Xubuntu and i was wondering if
its possible to change user rights in a standard account. I can't seem to
log into the main(root) account because i don't have the login password. Is
there a work around to this problem.Thanks
