my apologies for the "breaks unrelated" part - i did not realise that's 
what it said in the option i chose

as for cannot reproduce it - i am running stock debian testing 64bit on 
a thinkpad t500 - nothing other than stock repos and packages installed

the package runs fine on my 32bit laptop using the same setup
