Few questions, too:

* do you have a reliable way to reproduce the issue?
* some comments seem to indicate that it might be related to issues in
session saving, which should be fixed with xfce4-session 4.8.3-3 (not
yet uploaded). It might be worth testing with that package first, just
to be sure
