Yes, dpkg says librsvg2-common is installed without errors.

When I took the previous screenshot no theme where yet selected. It was
a recently created desktop.

If the oxygen theme, that has been always installed, is manually
selected then some more icons appear (oxygen.theme.png). 

Another picture: gnome.theme.png. Also a newly created desktop. This
time the gnome-icon-theme is installed, there is no need to manually
select it. Things look right from the very beginning.

Between screenshots the entirely home directory was removed.
