Is it realy a question about poor and whealty?

Why not reference to:
https://www.debian.org/social_contract.en.html
https://www.debian.org/social_contract
So - what is to do? Is it really necessary to decide only
to have one solution?

I'm not very familiar to the technical details, but is it possible - for
example -
1) to have a plain CD / DVD Image with a tall DE?
2) and enable the user in a second step to upgrade easy to whatever
he/she wants? KDE/GNOME/Mint...?
3) Provide a additional DVD Installation Image with native GNOME?

I think it is not necessary to devide the world in two parts - poor and
wealthy.
I think we all have different needs in different situations - and these
is not allways
congruent with poor or wealthy.
I think there is a broad need for a tall DE all over the world - just
think about plain servers.
On the other side there is also a need for a mature DE like GNOME.
So - why not to try to fullfill these needs of the users like pointed
out in the debian contract:
4. Our priorities are our users and free software
And I think there were _all_ users ment. Right?

Only the five cent from a plain user... :-)
