[Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#769318: xfce4: Cannot reboot or shutdown from XFCE logout button

I am running sysvinit-core and start XFCE desktop with startx from my text
console. XFCE4 boots and runs fine except I cannot reboot, shutdown or mount
and USB drives. Looks like a policykit issue.
