Well, at first sight, i'd say “no”. The whole point of the task-xfce
-desktop task is to install the Xfce desktop environment. So yes, we do
want xfce4.
Right now that means pulling gstreamer0.10, yeah, but since it's going
away anyway, that point will be moot soon.

So, again, no, that doesn't look like the right thing to do.
