[Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#811098: xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin: hogs some CPU if certain xfce4 styles are used

Package: xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin
Version: 0.2.4-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

If pulseaudio volume plugin is added to the xfce panel, and certain xfce4 styles are in
use, the plugin seems to do some busy looping (constant about 5-6% cpu
utilization in top). At the same time xorg's cpu consumption also rose to around that
amount. Once the plugin was removed, the xorg load dropped. Maybe some screen
refreshing issue?

Problematic xfce styles are at least: Xfce, Xfce-4.0, Xfce-4.2, Xfce-4.4, Xfce-4.6, Xfce-basic

Changing the xfce style to, for example, xfce-curve avoids this problem.

Cheers,
Kristian
