Sid update

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
All I could do was to enter a term and issue "startx" as user.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
I could enter my XFCE4 session
   * What outcome did you expect instead?

I want the greeter to work.
