No, of course not. There are 3 GBytes free for /tmp, and much more for
$HOME. I watched df while running my test program. There was no
indication that any filesystem was filling up. dmesg and the log
files showed no problem, either.

Writing to /dev/null makes no difference. Here is a test session:
