凄凉宝剑篇，枷泊欲穷年。 

黄叶仍风雨，青楼自管絃。 

新知遇薄俗，旧好隔良缘。 

心断新丰酒，销愁又几千。

Dispiriting, this "Precious Sword" essay 

For a wanderer 

almost at the years end! 

Once more leaves yellow 

in the wind and rain. 

The old fluting and twangin sound 

from the Blue Pavilions. 

My new friends lead a heartless social life; 

With old friends I am deprived of intimacy. 

My heart yearns 

for the wine of Xinfeng: 

How many jugs should I need 

to settle my sorrows?
