Thank you for reporting this!

I've fixed this in git commit af56389cda.

The current severity "minor" seems appropriate, given that the affected 
line is never actually executed in a properly installed system, and that 
even if it is executed using "dash" instead of "bash", the return value 
is still recognized correctly as "false". So this won't go into Jessie.
