I've mirrored the tarballs at http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/kate/ Not available over https though, so probably better to keep using code.google.com for past releases. Checksums can be verified against https://svn.xiph.org/releases/kate/SHA256SUMS.txt but please don't use that url for release downloads; it's a low bandwidth host. -r
