hrm... reading what you need to do below, i don't think there's currently an
easy way to do so.

i guess i have a first response along the lines of "why do you need to do 
this?".  i'm skeptical of course, but i'll assume you have a good reason :)  
it's not outside the realm of possibility to provide a way to do this, but
first things first it would help to get some context of what/why, so i can 
provide a way to do this in the most sensible way.   for example, i could
provide an option along the lines of "let normal db user be a superuser", or
"also provide these additional grants to normal db user", or something else.
