That's because we're competent an know what we're doing, and they don't.

This is not a surprise. It have been the unterpretation by EVERYONE (and there have been nunerous!) that there is nothing wrong with CDDL and GPL. _AS LONG AS_ you don't ship binary modules.

So we didn't "choose". The choise was made for us, we just adapted to reality.
