Hi,
I have managed to import the schooltool/schoolbell packaging into the
pkg-zope repository and finish the latest schoolbell/schooltool packages.
I have some questions/problems/issues.
Firstly, could someone sponsor the upload of schooltool 0.11.0-3 and
schoolbell 1.2.0-3 to _experimental_ [1]. You should be able to build
these with arch-buildpackage if I got everything correct (I hope!). The
upstream tarballs are at http://www.schooltool.org/releases.
I think it would make more sense for this team to sponsor my
zope-related uploads. So if enough people are willing to do this, I can
stop bothering Andreas so often (A big thanks Andreas!)
Secondly, comments on how it went (the process and all):
* I made two learning mistakes, debian-dir--schooltool--0.11 and
debian-dir--schooltool--0.11-1, how do I get rid of them? Or at least
stop them from cluttering everything?
* I have strong doubts about branching for every package
upload. i.e. the -3 in debian-dir--schooltool--0.11.0-3. I think this
may cost too much overhead for the advantage of being able to seal the
archive. I think much the same effect can be obtained using
arch-recordpackage's recording of the patch level for a specific
revision. Just my personal opinion.
* The commits list gets mails, but there is no body!
Otherwise all is in order and seems to work, just in time for my week
away from internet holiday.
(So if I don't reply, I'm not ignoring you:)
[1] The reasons for uploading to experimental are more than just to test
and show off the packages. There were some database issues when
changing from one zope release candidate to another. Sigh!
